OPRAH OPENING NEW STORE IN CHICAGO
Oprah Winfrey is about to open a 4,500 square foot store kitty-corner to her Harpo Studios in Chicago that will offer a smorgasbord of her signature products, according to reports.
A rep for Harpo Productions Inc. announced Wednesday that work has already begun on the one-story building.
No details other than the construction site and building size were given at the time, but Chicago’s CBS affiliate learned independently that the store will serve as a bricks and mortar location for items currently available only at Oprah.com, including a beach tote with "O" logo trim for $26, a $10 coffee mug with "The Oprah Winfrey Show" written on the side and a $24 basket made in South Africa.

WOMAN THAT BEAT UP FOXY BROWN GOES FREE
Roshawn Anthony, 23, was released from Riker's Island on her own recognizance Thursday but still faces charges of robbery, assault and grand larceny in the alleged attack last Saturday, according to a spokesman for the Brooklyn district attorney's office. She has denied the charges.
Police say Anthony and three other people teamed up to rob Brown of a Louis Vuitton bag, $500 in cash and credit cards in the East New York section of Brooklyn.
EVE PLEADS GUILTY TO DUI CHARGE
The rapper-actress was not in Superior Court when her attorney entered the plea to a single misdemeanor count. Under the plea agreement, a second count of driving under the influence was dropped.
An e-mail to her publicist, Amanda Silverman, was not immediately returned.
Eve, whose real name is Eve Jihan Jeffers, was arrested early April 26 after her gold Maserati struck a center median on Hollywood Boulevard.
Eve had faced a maximum sentence of six months in jail and a $1,000 fine. After her plea, she was sentenced to 36 months of probation and a $390 fine. With fees and restitution for repairs to the median, her bill could top $1,400.
Also, besides having to wear the monitoring device, she has to attend 10 Alcoholics Anonymous meetings and a three-month alcohol education program for first-time offenders.
She must appear personally in court on July 20 to show proof that she has enrolled in the alcohol program and is hooked up to the monitor, said Frank Mateljan, a spokesman for the city attorney's office.

ANGELA BASSETT CASTED IN TYLER PERRY'S MEET THE BROWNS
Angela Bassett will face-off with the all-mighty Madea in "Tyler Perry's Meet the Browns," an upcoming feature film adaptation of his popular stage play.
The actress will play the role of Brenda, a single mother who travels with her family from their home in inner-city Chicago to Georgia for the funeral of her father, whom she never met. There, she is introduced to her crazy relatives, the Browns, and also manages to find romance along the way.
Perry will again suit up as the characters of Madea and Uncle Joe in the film, which is due in theaters early next year via Lionsgate. He has played big screen versions of the characters in the films “Diary of a Mad Black Woman” and “Madea’s Family Reunion.”

T.I. ATTACKED LUDACRIS'S MANAGER
The altercation follows a three-year feud with microphone rival Ludacris. The pair fell out in 2004 after T.I. took offense to a scene in one of Ludacris' music videos, in which a man wearing a top similar to that of the rapper's Trap Muzik record label is seen getting beaten up.
T.I. recently reignited the feud by claiming he deserved to win the 2007 Grammy Award for Best Rap Album over the Stand Up star.

The "Get Rich or Die Tryin'" superstar shells out $10,000 a month to ex-girlfriend Shaniqua Tompkins for care of their 10-year-old, Marquise, plus another $15,000 a month in household expenses, lawyers said.
Tompkins has been asking for even more cash so Fitty has taken her to court to settle the matter before a judge.
"She is insatiable," said the hip-hop hitmaker's lawyer, Brett Kimmel. "Her demands keep escalating."
Tompkins' lawyer, Raoul Felder, said $300,000 a year isn't enough to keep Marquise in "the appropriate manner."
"This guy is worth tens and tens of millions of dollars," Felder said.
$300k a year for a kid???? Does the Mom even work or is she looking for a totally free ride. Dang you would think the little dude is royalty or something. We probably will see him in like 6 years with a Super Sweet Sixteen.

K-Fed denies pregnating Shar Jackson
Kevin Federline has denied he is fathering a child with his ex-girlfriend Shar Jackson. Federline has reportedly rekindled his romance with the actress and reality TV star, who is the mother of two of his kids, after splitting from estranged wife Britney Spears last November.
Federline dumped Jackson in April 2004 for the pop superstar while the former Moesha star was pregnant with the rapper/dancer's son Kaleb, who was born the following July.
However, in an interview on U.S. TV, Federline's publicist Marilyn Lopez dismissed reports her client has impregnated Jackson again as "not true".
And a representative for Jackson claims the actress isn't pregnant anyway, saying, "It's not even remotely true."

A screaming, crying Paris Hilton was ordered back to jail Friday to serve out the remainder of her 45-day sentence for a parole violation in a reckless driving case."It's not right!" shouted the weeping Hilton. "Mom!" she called out to her mother in the audience.
A witness said Hilton was "physically escorted" out of the courtroom by a female deputy.
Hilton's mother, Kathy Hilton, was later seen pacing the hallways, telling reporters, "I'm paralyzed right now."
The heiress will get credit for the five days she already served.
Hilton, 26, arrived in court Friday afternoon, sneaking past the media for the hearing that determined she was to be sent back to be jail. The sheriff's department that released her from prison picked her up at her home under judge's orders.

TYRA RENEWED FOR A 3RD SEASON..TAPING BEGINS IN NEW YORK AUG
Producers are moving Banks' daily talk show to New York from Los Angeles for its third season, it was revealed yesterday.
"I'm thrilled to be moving to New York," Banks said in a statement. "After spending some time in this city this past spring, I knew the energy and rhythm of the city would be great for the show."
The show will be based out of the Chelsea Studios, and production will begin Aug. 7. Fans can start requesting tickets now at http://www.tyrashow.com/.
Banks said she feels connected and at home in New York, the site of her first apartment as a model.

Paris Hilton was let out of jail Thursday morning, just three days after she began serving what was originally to have been a 45-day sentence for violating probation, a spokesman for the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said at a press conference.
Hilton must wear a monitoring bracelet and remain at her home for another 40 days, said Los Angeles County Sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore.
Medical considerations "played a part" in the decision to offer Hilton home confinement for the remainder of her sentence, Whitmore said.
He said privacy rules prohibited him from giving details about the medical issues, but celebrity Web site TMZ.com earlier quoted sources saying Hilton was refusing to eat much of the jail food served her.

TONY THOMPSON OF THE GROUP HI FIVE DIES AT 31
Tony Thompson, who sang on the 1990s R&B hits "I Like the Way (The Kissing Game) and "She's Playing Hard to Get" as part of the group Hi-Five, has died. He was 31.
Thompson was found dead Friday night of an apparent drug overdose, friends told the Waco Tribune-Herald.
Thompson signed with Jive Records in 1990 as part of Hi-Five. The quintet's self-titled debut album went multi-platinum and spawned the hits "I Like the Way (The Kissing Game)," "I Can't Wait Another Minute," and "Just Another Girlfriend."
In 1992, the group found success again with the songs "She's Playing Hard to Get" and "Quality Time."
Thompson released his solo debut, "Sexsational," in 1995 after Hi-Five split. The Waco native had recently moved back to his hometown from the Dallas area and was working on new material.
