EXCLUSIVE: DID 50 CENT BABY MOTHER SET HIS HOUSE ON FIRE??

A multimillion-dollar Long Island home at the center of a dispute between Grammy-nominated rapper 50 Cent and his former girlfriend was destroyed by a suspicious fire early Friday.

The blaze occurred just days after a heated confrontation inside the woman's attorney's office over the home. 50 Cent does not live in the home and apparently wasn't there at the time.

Six people inside the Dix Hills home were taken to a hospital suffering smoke inhalation, including the former girlfriend and a boy fathered by the rapper. All six were treated and released. A firefighter also suffered a minor eye injury, officials said.

Investigators from the Suffolk County arson squad were called to the scene after Dix Hills Fire Chief Larry Feld deemed the blaze suspicious. The fire was reported about 5 a.m. and extinguished about 45 minutes later, Feld said.

A passing off-duty police officer helped rescue the six people off an elevated deck in the home's backyard, Feld said.

He referred the case to the arson squad "because of the intensity of the fire."

The rapper's ex-girlfriend, Shaniqua Tompkins, and two of her children, including 50 Cent's son, were among the injured. The other three adults in the home were not immediately identified.

Earlier this year, Tompkins filed suit against 50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, claiming he had promised her the $2.4 million house more than a decade ago but that since their breakup he now wants to evict her and their 10-year-old son.

NAOMI HAS LOST HER MIND...

Naomi Campbell has been charged with assaulting two police officers during a "luggage rage" incident at Heathrow Airport, her lawyer and prosecutors said Thursday.

The 38-year-old supermodel was charged when she reported to Heathrow police station to answer bail over the April 3 fracas, lawyer Simon Nicholls said.

The Crown Prosecution Service said Campbell faced five charges -- three counts of assaulting a constable, one count of disorderly conduct and one count of using threatening, abusive words or behavior to the crew of the airplane. Police said the assault charges related to two officers.

Campbell was ordered to appear at a west London magistrates' court June 20.

Witnesses said Campbell was aboard a British Airways plane due to take off for Los Angeles when she became involved in a dispute over her luggage. Tens of thousands of bags had been separated from their owners at Heathrow's Terminal 5 after its chaotic opening in late March.

Campbell was removed from the plane and held for eight hours at the airport police station before being released on bail.

She arrived at the police station Thursday in a chauffeur-driven Mercedes. She left without speaking, but her lawyer said the supermodel was "bitterly disappointed" that she had been charged.

SEAN LEVERT DIES OF NATURAL CAUSES

The R&B singer Sean Levert, who died at age 39 after falling ill in jail, suffered from a variety of ailments and died of natural causes, the county coroner ruled Thursday.

The 39-year-old Levert, a member of the 1980s R&B trio LeVert and son of lead O'Jays singer Eddie Levert, died March 31 at a hospital after he was taken from the Cuyahoga County jail. He was serving a 22-month sentence for failure to pay child support.

Levert's family had questioned officials' account that Levert had been acting strangely and was restrained before he fell ill. But in his ruling, County Coroner Frank Miller ruled out foul play or trauma.

Patti Webster, Levert's publicist, did not return a call seeking comment on the coroner's findings.

Miller said Levert died from complications of sarcoidosis, an inflammatory lung disease that produces tiny lumps of cells in body's organs. The coroner said Levert also suffered from other conditions, including cardiovascular disease and withdrawal from alprazolam -- a drug used to treat anxiety disorders and panic attacks.

MOREHOUSE COLLEGE HAS FIRST WHITE VALEDICTORIAN

Joshua Packwood knows what it's like to be a minority.

This weekend he'll be the first white valedictorian to graduate from the historically black, all male Morehouse College in the school's 141-year history.

Morehouse, in Atlanta, Georgia, is one the nation's most prestigious universities of its kind. For more than a century, the school has prided itself on personifying the dream of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., one of the school's most notable alums, by producing "Morehouse Men" - intelligent and successful black leaders.

"Because I'm one of the only white students, it's easy to call me 'the white boy,' I'm naturally going to stand out," says Packwood.

But Packwood, 22, doesn't stand out solely because he is white or has maintained a 4.0 grade point average. For those who don't know him, what is surprising is that a Rhodes Scholar finalist turned down a full scholarship to Columbia University to attend the all-black men's university.

This came naturally to Packwood, who attended a predominantly black high school.

"A large majority of my friends, like all my girlfriends have been minorities," says Packwood. "So it was very, it was kind of strange that I always kind of gravitated to the black community."

Dear Friends:

If you think you are having a tough day, may I propose you walk in my shoes for a few hours.

In my mind, it feels like “Dump on Al Month.” And I’m not having fun yet.

I have been called a gigolo, a freeloader, unemployed, a sham and many other things that don’t bear repeating. People on television, radio and the internet have spoken disparagingly of my life, my sexuality, my career and my integrity.

The media has barraged me (at my home), my friends, my family (including my 79 year old mother), my college classmates, my students and my professional colleagues. Yet, despite this intense level of provocation, I have said nothing.

My Publicist has put out a one sentence statement: “We’re taking the high road.” And we have and will continue on that path.

As much as I want to defend myself, it seems like a silly and futile exercise.

It’s clear that the media doesn’t want to let the truth get in the way of a good story. I hate to ruin their fun.

I take great comfort in the fact that my loved ones and those people who really know me continue to love and respect me.

Thank you “all” for the endless emails, phone calls and words of encouragement.

I know in my heart that I entered my marriage with love and the best of intentions and leave it with great sadness that it didn’t work.

What the world doesn’t know about me would fill a book, but I know who I am and what I have achieved in my life. Before I met Star Jones I was a successful Wall Street banker and since then I have become an entrepreneur, an educator and soon, an author.

I grew up in a working class home, a mobile home in fact. I understand the struggles of the working class. My mother was a teacher and my father was in the military. I was given values, integrity and a strong moral upbringing (thanks mom and dad).

In these hard economic times, I am working to take my knowledge and experience of the business world and use it to empower and enlighten working class Americans who are often ‘left behind’ by traditional financial advice. I educate inspiring young men and women at Florida Memorial University, a historically black liberal arts university in Miami, Florida.

I continue to follow my entrepreneurial spirit in the world of business and investment while completing my doctorate in Organizational Leadership.

So I indeed work very hard as a professor, business owner, doctoral student and author.

I play hard too. I make no apologies for that. A guy is entitled to a little fun, after all.

What I want people to know is that I am not the caricature portrayed by the media.

I am complex, contradictory and capable of great intelligence but also remarkable stupidity. In other words, I am a human being.

To me, labels are for clothes, not people. So…..Please don’t try to define me; don’t try to categorize me; and most of all, don’t label me. Instead, JUST GET TO KNOW ME.

REMY MA GETS 8 YEARS FOR SHOOTING OF FRIEND

A weeping Remy Ma was sentenced to eight years in prison Tuesday for shooting a woman outside a Manhattan nightclub. "I feel so bad for all the physical and mental pain you've gone through," the Grammy-nominated rapper told the victim. "This has taken a toll on us and both our families. I would never wish you harm and I pray the best for all of us."

The entertainer, whose real name is Remy Smith, had faced up to 25 years in prison for assault, weapon possession and attempted coercion for shooting Makeda Barnes Joseph last July in a dispute over money.

Smith, 26, begged the judge for leniency for the sake of "my little boy," saying she grew up "surrounded by failure, violence and poverty," but "made something out of nothing" from her life.

State Supreme Court Justice Rena Uviller said she recognized that Smith had had a difficult childhood, but noted the victim had nearly died and will never be the same physically. Uviller called the rapper "a young woman whose anger is out of control."

After the sentencing, Smith's fiance, fellow rapper Papoose, began screaming in a hallway outside the courtroom. "All you want is money!" he said, apparently referring to the victim.

"Lock me up! Lock me up!" he then shouted to court officers, who escorted him out of the courthouse.

The couple had planned to wed last weekend at the Rikers Island jail, where Smith has been incarcerated. Correction officials said they called off the wedding after Papoose showed up with a handcuff key.

Smith's lawyer, Ivan Fisher, said Papoose had a key but denied that it could be used to open handcuffs. Papoose, whose real is Shamele Mackie, hasn't been charged.

Fisher said the couple still plan to wed.

TONI BRAXTON OUT TILL JUNE FROM HER LAS VEGAS SHOW

Toni Braxton's return to the stage on the Las Vegas strip has been pushed back for at least another month.

A spokeswoman for Harrah's Entertainment says the target date to resume "Toni Braxton: Revealed" at the Flamingo Las Vegas hotel is now June 6th.

Braxton's show has been dark since the singer was hospitalized overnight for chest pain on April 7th.

The spokeswoman says she can't comment about Braxton's medical condition. The 40-year-old entertainer has been treated in the past for pericarditis, a viral inflammation of the heart.

Braxton's two-year run at the Flamingo Las Vegas is scheduled to end in August.

VANESSA WILLIAMS RECEIVES BA FROM SYRACUSE UNIVERSITY

Vanessa Williams has received her bachelor of fine arts degree from Syracuse University, nearly 25 years after she dropped out to become the first black Miss America.

The 45-year-old actress-singer, who stars in ABC's "Ugly Betty," also delivered the convocation address Saturday to graduates of Syracuse's College of Visual and Performing Arts.

She encouraged her fellow graduates to "treasure this moment." "These days are irreplaceable and are the beginning of the rest of your life," she said, according to the Web Site of The Syracuse Post-Standard.

When she accepted her diploma, Williams raised it to show her mother and children.

Williams attended Syracuse's drama department as a musical theater major from 1981-1983. She earned the remaining credits for her degree through industry experience and performances on stage and screen.

FOXX BROWN PLEADING GUILTY TO SOMETHING ELSE

Rapper Foxy Brown has pleaded guilty to menacing a neighbor with her cell phone last year. She avoided jail based on time already served.

Brown and neighbor Arlene Raymond got into a fight last July over Brown blasting her car stereo outside their Brooklyn apartment building.

As part of the plea deal, the 28-year-old rapper wrote a letter apologizing to Raymond. Brown presented the letter to Justice John Walsh in a Brooklyn court on Thursday.

The judge extended Raymond's order of protection.

Brown, whose real name is Inga Marchand, spent seven months in jail for a Manhattan case involving a fight she had with manicurists in a nail salon. She was released last month.

JUST 8 MONTHS....

A judge in Florida says the 17-year-old son of wrestler Hulk Hogan should serve eight months in jail for reckless driving. Nick Bollea was led off to begin his sentence immediately after Friday's ruling. He will be on five years' probation and lose his driving privileges for three years.

Authorities say Bollea was racing a friend in his father's sports car when he clipped a curb, spun out of control and slammed into a palm tree in downtown Clearwater, Florida, last August.

The impact left his friend critically injured and in need of lifetime medical care.

Bollea pleaded no contest to the reckless driving charge.

DMX was arrested after speed-enforcement cameras captured him in his bright yellow 1966 Chevrolet going 114 mph on a suburban Phoenix freeway.

The rapper/actor was taken into custody Tuesday at his north Phoenix home without incident, the Arizona Department of Public Safety said Wednesday. He posted bond and was released.

DMX, whose real name is Earl Simmons, was booked on charges of criminal speeding, public endangerment, reckless driving and driving on a suspended license.

Electronically activated cameras placed along the Loop 101 freeway in Scottsdale captured him three times on Jan. 21 in his Nova II with a large "DMX" decal on the windshield. He was driving at 100, 101 and 114 mph.

The speed limit on the stretch of roadway is 65 mph.

The 37-year-old's lawyer, Murray Richman, said he had no comment.

STAR JONES LASHES OUT AT BARBARA WALTERS

In Walters' new memoir, "Audition," she discusses how Jones wouldn't acknowledge her gastric bypass surgery on the air. She also writes about Jones' lavish wedding, which wound up alienating viewers as Jones accepted gifts in return for promotion.

"It is a sad day when an icon like Barbara Walters, in the sunset of her life, is reduced to publicly branding herself as an adulterer, humiliating an innocent family with accounts of her illicit affair and speaking negatively against me all for the sake of selling a book. It speaks to her true character," Jones told Us Weekly magazine.

Jones' publicist, Brad Zeifman, said Jones wouldn't comment further.

The Nat’l Enquirer reports that Whitney Houston's chubby 15 year-old daughter Bobbi Kristina tried to stab her singer mom during a heated argument. The poor insane child then cut her own wrists while trying to commit suicide.

The shocking outburst and subsequent suicide attempt put the deeply disturbed Bobbi Kristina in an Atlanta psych ward.

A close family member, Ann Davis, said that just a few days before Bobbi's big 15th birthday blow out Kristina "tried to stab Whitney" with a razor before using it on herself.

Davis further elaborated that part of Kristina's mental problem is that she hates living with Whitney.

RELATIVE CONFIRMS NICK CANNON AND MARIAH CAREY MARRIAGE

It's true! According to a relative of the groom, Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon have indeed tied the knot. Linda Cannon, a family member of Nick's, confirmed to E! News that the wedding happened. "He called and told us all about it," said Linda.

There has been no official confirmation of the nuptials, but Latina magazine reported that after dating less than two months, the pair got hitched in an impromptu ceremony on an island.

Just last week, Carey attended the TriBeCa Film Festival premiere of her film Tennessee sporting a huge rock on her left ring finger – a $2.5 million, 17-carat diamond ring from Jacob & Co. jewelers. Sources say Cannon, 27, and Carey, 39, became involved after he appeared in the video for her song "Bye, Bye."

This is the second marriage for Carey, who divorced music producer Tommy Mottola in 1998, and the second engagement for Cannon, who split from Victoria's Secret model Selita Ebanks last year. (No stranger to quick decisions, Cannon proposed to Ebanks after less than four months of dating.)

"I'm not going to give you any details," Cannon's relative added, declining to confirm the New York Post's report that the nuptials took place at Carey's private estate off the Caribbean island of Eleuthera. "If that is what he wants, then we are happy for him."
