"Detectives investigating the alleged domestic violence felony battery booked him for criminal threats," a statement from the Los Angeles Police Department said. "At the time the case is presented to the Los Angeles County district attorney's office, additional charges may be filed."
Brown, 19, posted a $50,000 bond and was released by police at 8:35 p.m. (11:35 p.m. ET). A March 5 court date has been set.
Chris Brown and Rihanna were scheduled to perform at the Grammys, but both backed out at the last minute.
"Rihanna is well," her spokesman said in a written statement. "Thank you for concern and support."
Police have not identified the victim. But we all know it is Rihanna.More to come......................

Ok, everyone is reporting what he did to her BUT I want to know what did she do to him. Come on, I find it hard to beleive that he just started on her. Nope, she must have done something to him as well.

WOW!! What a scumbag for hitting Rihanna or any woman for that matter! He deserves the max penalty for this one. His career and ratings are over!!

No one, just not women, dont deserve to be hit. No one deserves for someone to be going off on them. There are women that push a man to his boiling point and the next thing you know they are on the ground from being knocked out. I don't condone violence, but if you don't want anyone hitting on you, then don't pass any licks on the other person. Both of them are adults and know right from wrong. Why do men always haft to be the bigger person and leave the situation? Women sometime need to step back and think to themselves do I really want to set this man off. Everybody has a limit with their temper. Why cant responsibility be put on the woman as well. There are alot of aggressive women that try to fight and act like men and push men to their limits. And to me that is not right and you could possibly get yourself into a situation you can't get out of.
