Willow Smith confirmed signed to RocNation

Jay-Z has confirmed that he has signed Will Smith's daughter Willow to a new deal on his label, Roc Nation. The rapper/mogul appeared on Ryan Seacrest's show this morning and confirmed rumors that he snatched up Willow, whose song "Whip My Hair" has generated an instant buzz.

"We at Roc Nation are excited to work with Willow," Jay-Z told AllHipHop.com in a statement. "She has an energy and enthusiasm about her music that is truly infectious. It's rare to find an artist with such innate talent and creativity at such a young age. Willow is about to embark on an incredible journey and we look forward to joining her as she grows in all aspects of her career."

Her parents, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith were also excited about their daughter's new recording home. "After meeting with several record companies, it was clear that Jay-Z, Ty Ty, Jay Brown and the Roc Nation staff was the unquestionable choice," Will and Jada Pinkett-Smith told AllHipHop.com in a statement. "Their passion for Willow combined with their boundless vision and artistic integrity made Roc Nation the perfect home for our little girl."

MATT BARNES ARRESTED FOR DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

Los Angeles Laker Matt Barnes, arrested near Sacramento yesterday on a felony charge of domestic violence, contends he was the victim in a confrontation with his girlfriend.

The Lakers reserve texted Channel 10 reporter Bryan May with this message:

"U know any domestic violence situation 9 outa 10 times the man gets arrested. That's the case here I was the victim but still got arrested. No matter what I say people are gonna think what they want..."

Barnes also pleaded his case on his Twitter page, with this:

"DON'T LET YOUR EARS WITNESS, WHAT YOUR EYES DIDN'T SEE!!!"

The Sacramento County Sheriff's Department responded to a call at 4:15 p.m. PT and determined Barnes and his girlfriend had been involved in a "physical confrontation." Deputies said Barnes and the woman had visible injuries.

Barnes faces an additional charge for allegedly obstructing the woman from making a 911 call. Last month he signed a two-year, $3.6 million contract with the Lakers.

Early Release for Colored Girls.....

Lionsgate has announced that Tyler Perry's adaptation of the play "For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow is Enuf" will be released this fall instead of in January.

The film, based on the play by Ntozake Shange, stars Janet Jackson, Thandie Newton, Whoopi Goldberg, Kerry Washington Kimberly Elise, Phylicia Rashad, Loretta Devine and Tessa Thompson.

So Tiny and TI's mugshot was released today. The two were arrested earlier this week for the possession of a controlled substance after police stopped TI for an illegal U-Turn on Sunset Blvd. TMZ has confirmed that the pills found in T.I.'s Maybach were Ectasy. The two have been released after posting $10,000 bond. SMH!!!
